the 60s folk hero blues. [Nov. 22nd, 2007|08:19 pm]
Tim
I live two blocks from the highway that brings me to you and brings us all beyond to the outer reaches of the sun that we love that we need to live that we need to keep going in this wheel that spins us round to get back to the beginning but we never know why we are going round and round.

the false idol plugs into the cosmic background and does his dance while the believers rally around to bring about the change we've needed for millienia. Then the leader of the real pyramid falls to the hands of the invisible gods of this world and the entire army drops to its knees to find nobody was listening.

The dreams is now a product that we wear on shirts printed over seas. our currency becomes the meaningless dead byproduct of nature that it always has been and we sink back to our dead roots.

jealousy and fear rule the minutes while the years are run by plans and frameworks that must be lived in, right?

I always thought it didn't exist
their stories about heaven, just didn't fit
they didn't mention you'd bring me there
to the white clouds and the blissful stares.

every morning. [Oct. 23rd, 2007|09:35 pm]

Vacuum packed pedestrians
the sound of marching
the field lines, edges of an unseen force
on conveyor belts below the old gods
building steel sand castles.

There's too much confusion [Jul. 18th, 2007|01:32 pm]
Tim
donning an old t-shirt
reminds of who I am, who I was
is there a difference in there somewhere
do these old threads add the old memories to the new brain
gone days are happy days when they're in the past
old problems, new problems, lapses in judgement then and now
fixing the brain by sticking to things that can be done right
and ignoring those wrongs that are here, and those that are passed

"Are you as confused as I am?"
"We're all confused."

bound. [Jul. 17th, 2007|10:14 pm]

Find yourself; lost in the notes
blaming us for problems that exist in shadows
we exist everywhere, for you bring me there
you want to know what you need
but you blame the confusion
take your life where you want
leave me here if you need an excuse.

always dying [Feb. 5th, 2007|07:31 pm]
Tim
we are still children
lost in our playful gardens
getting thorns through our cheeks as we rush mad
waving our arms through thick bushes
hoping we come out the other side onto a wondrous sunset
but so far we can only see the rainbow above the weeds
we can only watch the bright colors fade from orange to green to blue to black
is every red tear worth shedding from our torn eyes
or should we heed the dying star long before we run out of forest to play in.

The shadows are the light that helps these seeds grow.
I try to cover them, but I only create more shadows.

So solemly this jealously creeps and crawls and conquers me
Why? I don't get.
Why don't you play a game with me.

The Observationist [Dec. 1st, 2006|02:13 am]
Tim
Where have we found ourselves
but in fields of uncertainity that know no bounds
we can add numbers to the probility of existence, but we're still lost
lost among numbers and tensors and matrices all defining the things that we feel, but we can't touch
Does anyone not know that they help control the world around them
Does anyone not flicker the lamppost as they walk by, casuaully wondering if it would have flickered if they were not there
perhaps feeling it is a sign that the world has turned its back on them, leaving them in darkness
perhaps feeling power and godliness, secure in their knowledge that they control the physical world around them with their many cortexes and synapses.
If you can't observe yourself die, then how can you ever be dead if you only can define reality by your perception of it?

Enjoy this lifetime to your fullest, live as you please, because no one knows what the next one brings.
